Immunization Coverage Among Texas Adults and Children 6 Months and Older

About the National Immunization Survey-Flu (NIS-Flu)
The NIS-Flu estimates the annual flu vaccination coverage levels for the nation, states, select local areas, and some U.S. territories for people 6 months and older.
The NIS-Flu combines annual, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) flu vaccination survey responses from the NIS-Child, NIS-Teen, NIS-Childhood Influenza Module (NIS-CIM), and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) (Figure 1). The NIS-Flu determines vaccine coverage estimates from parent or guardian-reported data (for children) and self-reported data (for adults).
The 2022-2023 survey assessed the self-reported immunization status of 428,510 children and adults in the United States. The sample consisted of 297,255 adults and 131,255 children, including 14,913 Texas respondents.
