What impact did all this baiting have on rabies in Texas?

  • The number of Domestic Dog/Coyote (DDC) variant rabies cases reported in South Texas went from 141 in 1995 to 0 from 2005 through the present. 
  • The number of Texas Fox (TF) variant rabies cases reported in West-Central Texas went from 101 in 1996 to 1 in 2013; no cases were reported from 2014 through the present.
