Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s (TCEQ) mission is to protect the state’s public health and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. TCEQ's goal is clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste.
The TCEQ participates as part of the TSCC in order to coordinate its activities with other state agencies while carrying out its mission. The TCEQ also serves as a resource in assisting other TSCC member agencies with issues concerning toxic substances and harmful agents.

Texas Department of Agriculture
The Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) mission is to partner with all Texans to make Texas the nation's leader in agriculture, fortify our economy, empower rural communities, promote healthy lifestyles, and cultivate winning strategies for rural, suburban and urban Texas through exceptional service and the common threads of agriculture in our daily lives.
TDA is designated as the state’s lead agency in the regulation of pesticide use and application. TDA is responsible for licensing and training pesticide applicators, overseeing worker protection, registering pesticides for sale in the state and working to minimize unnecessary impacts to agriculture.

Texas Parks and Wildlife
The Texas Parks and Wildlife’s (TPWD) mission is to manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
TPWD strives to be recognized as a national leader in implementing effective natural resources conservation and outdoor recreational programs.

Railroad Commission of Texas
The Railroad Commission of Texas’s (RRC) mission is to serve Texas by our stewardship of natural resources and the environment, concern for personal and community safety, and support of enhanced development and economic vitality for the benefit of Texans.
The RRC is the state agency with primary regulatory jurisdiction over the oil and natural gas industry, pipeline transportation, natural gas and hazardous liquid pipeline industry, natural gas utilities, the LP-gas industry, and coal and uranium surface mining operations.
